Common questions

What exactly do I get?

A tokenized share of the company you bought from, in a wallet you control on Robinhood Chain. It tracks the price of the listed share and can be sold on chain at any time. It is not the share itself: no vote, no shareholder status, no claim on the company.

How much is a receipt worth?

The brand's rate times the total. Costco pays 2%, so a $186.40 run is $3.73 in COST. Capped at $20 a receipt, or $100 if the wallet holds $STOCKBACK. Your first receipt pays its first $5 in full, once.

Do I have to photograph everything?

No. Anything that arrives as an order or renewal email can be forwarded instead, unchanged, from the address you signed in with. Netflix, Xbox, Amazon, Apple orders and most subscriptions work this way. The shelf marks which route each brand accepts.

Who checks my receipt?

Nobody. A model reads it, checks it is real and not already claimed, matches the merchant, and prices the reward. There is no review queue, which is why the settlement time on the shelf reads in minutes rather than "usually a few days".

What does the settlement number mean?

The median time, over the last hundred rewards for that brand, from an accepted claim to shares in the wallet. It is measured, not promised. When the exchange behind a share is closed the purchase waits for it to open, and the number shows that.

Why was my receipt turned away?

The reason is on the claim. The common ones: not paper in front of a camera, already claimed, merchant not on the shelf, total unreadable, older than thirty days, or a fourth receipt in a day. Fix the one it names and send the next.

Can I claim the same receipt twice?

No. Not from another angle, another phone or another wallet. Each receipt has a fingerprint, and the first claim wins.

Are the brands partners?

No, unless a brand page says so. They are references for what you bought. The rate a brand "pays" is the rate Stockback pays for receipts from that brand, funded by the protocol and by brands that choose to pay above the base rate for placement.

Do I need the token?

No. Everything works without it. Holding $STOCKBACK raises the per-receipt cap from $20 to $100, and the protocol's revenue buys it back and burns it. That is the whole of what it does.

Do you hold my rewards?

No. They are bought and sent to your wallet in one step. We never hold your keys and cannot move, freeze or recover anything in it. If you lose the wallet, we cannot restore what was paid there.

Where does this work?

Wherever tokenized shares can be lawfully delivered to a self-custodied wallet: most of the EU, the UK and a list of other countries shown in the app. The list can change, and where it does, claims sent before the change are still paid.
